Need help finding a home based business to be a stay at home mom?

I have a 10 month old and I am trying to find a home based business that will work for me and my family. I have looked up the following companies:





Pampered Chef


Avon


Mary Kay


Princess House


Discovery Toys


Tealightful Treasures


At Home America


Southern Living At Home





Have any of you had any success with these companies? or know of any other companies?





I do have a full time, evening, and weekend, job so my time to actually do parties is limited. I am looking for something I can do more catalog parties and online sales with. Eventually my goal would be to go part time at my current job.





I'm really looking for something I can do from home (that I would not need to hire a sitter for) while my son is home with me. Again, being able to go out and do work is very difficult. Please help.

I know a couple of people that are involved in Pampered Chef, Mary Kay too. They do pretty good. Those were a couple of the business's that I took a look at before I decided on one. I went over the entire compensation plan of quite a few business, tested products etc. The business I chose made more since to me. However, I won't knock these other two companies on your list, because they have good products. My entire kitchen is Pampered Chef. My sister made a lot of money off me. haha. However I just couldn't picture myself having to do the home shows, and having to constantly sale over and over. I wanted something simpler and the compensation plan higher. So I got involved in another industry. My husband didn't want to do "pampered Chef" he thought it was a girls thing and we wanted to do something together and have something that would support all six of us. (We have 4 kids 10, 6, 3, and 1) You can understand the "male thing" here with Avon and Pampered Chef. I personally couldn't picture him doing a facial or something. LOL But when we looked at this business plan and talked with the co-founders and learned about the integrity of the company, I knew this was for me, him and/or both.


It's a 15 year old world wide company with a proven track record. They've been featured in several magazines like USA Today, Success, Fortune etc. (to name a few) Inc 500 rated them the 22nd fastest growing company. It's simple to do and is the most profitable. They are the world's largest direct selling telecommunications service provider. They offer services that people use every day and pay for anyway. I get to help them lower their cost. Everytime people pay their land lines phone bills, Internet, VIOP, digitial, video, t.v. and cellular phone bills (from all the major cellular phone providers) I get a percentage of everyone's bills every single month from something I did one time before. There was no ceiling (which I looked heavely at) They provided all the training, take care of all the billing and everything for me (something I didn't want to have to deal with) I knew people involved in this industry that make an incredible amount of money, so I chose this one for many other reason's too. Reply:Honestly I've tried many of those "opportunities" and I have been in sales and customer service for 20+ years: for some reason direct sales is not my niche but I do enjoy being a home agent. I work 2-5 hours a day and it's so flexible!





You may have heard on all the news shows lately about this home agents trend and it is growing. If you can have a quiet space and good headset high speed isp you can work when ever you want 24 hours a day for many of these new home agent positions.





I like ratracerebellion for the nice call center page they have with comparisons. The best thing is you don't have some big fee to get in: most only have you pay for your back ground check at the most.

The ad says "even an 11 year old can do it". Watch/listen to the video. Basically this is providing an easy, little known service for a few bucks a day. You won't make millions but it's not surveys or ebay and it's not a scam. It does take a little time to set up, though.

Once you decide to go part time this should be taking off pretty well and you could quit work and do this. Its fun, NO monthly fees, NO need to have parties if you don't want. Not sure if you've heard of it, but the products are wonderful. We've been able to get rid of my son's eczema with the baby line. This is something you could definitely consider because you don't have to do parties with this. A lot of people do so because you have an opportunity to meet/share this with several people at one time but it's not necessary to do parties. What different about this is that this is more of a distribution model. Most people using the products are ordering themselves and the product is shipped right to their door. The company is just starting its global expansion (UK and Australia were launched last year). If you're interested in more information or samples let me know. Reply:I have been in your shoes and have spent many hours online researching and trying to find the right one. The one thing that I ended up figuring out is that there are no true work from home "jobs." In a work from home job you usually start out working for a company and then for whatever reason, sometimes, the company will let you take your job home; thus work from home job. I would never pay a company to work from home.





However, there are many work from home “opportunities.” These opportunities provide you with the vehicle to work from home and build your own business. The difficult or frustrating part about finding the right opportunity is that there are many offers that are not legitimate, but scams. Theses scams make it difficult for the companies that truly offer a legitimate opportunity to work from home. Usually, work from home opportunities have a small investment to start your own business. These are okay as long as they are around $100, anything much more than that and I would stay away. Also if they require a monthly overhead to run the business it should include things like your websites, training, back office system, and support. Remember any business that you start and want to continue will always have start up costs and monthly expenses, if it doesn't then it is probably not a legit business.





I am a stay at home mother of 2 (ages 4 and 2). My husband works 6 days a week and I do not have much help in the area of child care for my children. On my journey to finding the right work from home opportunity I tried everything from selling vitamins, lotions and many other product based companies. I also looked into processing information online. What I realized with all these companies is that I usually put more money back into my business and ended up with lots of product I really did not need. I also was very skeptical of some of those online work from home websites that really never got to the point of what I would be doing to earn income.





Finally, I was given information on a legitimate work from home company. At first I was very skeptical and paid no attention to the information. Then one day my mother needed to have some dental work done but had no insurance. I remembered that I had some information on discount dental plans. Once I researched the information I had been given, I realized that I could provide my mother with a way to pay less for her procedure and earn an income for signing her onto the discount dental plan. I have been with the company since and am on the fast track toward building a six figure residual income.
