Home based business for stay at home mom?

I have a 10 month old and I am trying to find a home based business that will work for me and my family. I have looked up the following companies:

Pampered Chef

Avon

Mary Kay

Princess House

Discovery Toys

Tealightful Treasures

At Home America

Southern Living At Home

Have any of you had any success with these companies? or know of any other companies?

I do have a full time, evening, and weekend, job so my time to actually do parties is limited. I am looking for something I can do more catalog parties and online sales with. Eventually my goal would be to go part time at my current job.

I am great with the computer. Any suggestions would be great.

Home based business for stay at home mom?
You might want to start by providing a personal service. I would recommend going to:

The ad says "even an 11 year old can do it". Watch/listen to the video. Basically this is providing an easy, little known service for a few bucks a day. You won't make millions but it's not surveys or ebay and it's not a scam. It does take a little time to set up, though.
Reply:I have found a lot of financial freedom with Tupperware, and been able to stay at home with my two kids. Tupperware is the highest compensated of all the direct sales businesses. In fact, watch CBS Nightly news with Katie Couric tonight, they are doing a segment about good jobs during bad times. You don't have to do parties, you can do catalog parties and online sales. In fact, one of the top sales people in the company does online sales only. It is a very versatile business. If you have any questions just contact me through my website, and I can answer any questions!

Reply:I work a full time job as well and decided to do a home-based business on the side. I didn't do the listing you mentioned because I couldn't see myself selling, carrying inventory, and hosting home parties (nothing against that of course). I decided on a business that would allow me to provide a much needed service to millions, and that is quality healthcare alternatives. I enjoy the work I do and its very flexible to do around my full time job and my one year old. You can go to www.freedomathometeam.com/trhonda2000 for more info.

Hope this helps,

Reply:I have been successful with Mary Kay. I make a full time income and stay home with my 3 kids. If you want me to answer your quesitons about it, you can email me. :)
Reply:I have a great business that I do from home and I can operate in 19 countries, it’s possible because of deregulation of essential services. We market services that people have and use every single day so it’s not like we have to try to convince people to buy something. Just think did you think about who was going to get paid when you made a phone call or switched on your internet to read this? Imagine that you can tap into this income by helping people save on services that they already use every day, and you dont have to go back to your clients every month to sell them more phone or internet, they just keep using it, its like breathing. To have a look at our business model and see my recommendation, please go to http://www.jnt.acnrep.com It may or may not be for you though definitely worth a look, thanks for your question.
Reply:I work for a company, Alpine Access, where we do customer service from home. It is doing phone work, and you would still need a sitter for the baby as you will be taking calls. I have a 11 month old and so far it works out great. They are extremelly flexible with schedules, as almost all of the employees are parents. My mom watches my little girl while im working, and i get to go see her for my breaks! If interested check out their website, AlpineAccess.com. Training can be tough as it is all done in your home setting, very similar to taking an online class. Good Luck!

Reply:I have three children, including a three month old, and I'm an independent consultant for Arbonne. This might be a fit for you as you can share Arbonne through mailing samples, 1-on-1 presentations in your home, online parties, over the phone, or over the web. Arbonne has one of the most generous compensation plans in the industry with retail profits ranging from 35-80%. We also have free online training, upline support, no inventory to keep, online or toll free ordering with direct shipping, and upline support. If you would like more information, please feel free to visit my website or email me and I'll be happy to help you.
Reply:well instead of mary kay a better idea would be Arbonne. I don't personally do it but my friend does and loves it and makes a lot of money doing it. She averages about $3,000 a month.
Reply:Since you are on the track of Direct Sales.. look into Gold Canyon *Candles*Body*Home...you can do catalog parties.. website orders, individual orders and start this on the side while you work full time and make extra money. Once you decide to go part time this should be taking off pretty well and you could quit work and do this. Its fun, NO monthly fees, NO need to have parties if you don't want. Its a high quality product that people buy for themselves and make wonderful gifts as well. Its a reputable company and been around for 10 yrs. Just opened up in Canada and the UK. Check it out and if you need more info I would be more than happy to mail you a packet or even talk to you over the phone. Another good thing is that the price range is prefect for everyones budget so anyone can buy....Men, women's, teen, co-workers,family, neighbors, clients..........

Reply:Hello, I believe I have sent you info before. My son is now 1 yr old and I do Passion Parties, have been for 2.5 yrs now. I stay home and am training other ladies that either go to school, have different jobs, have children, some do not, etc. I do training mainly through phone, email and IM.

There are a wide variety of ladies and you work when you want to.

There are many different kinds of consultants. email me for more info ToyPartyLady@yahoo.com

I have processed orders online and from catalogs as well, although the major bucks come from parties which last 2-3 hrs and each can avg $250 profit easily.
Reply:If you like sales, then choose one of those companies. There are other ways to earn income at home though.

Of the list, and pertaining to your situation, I would recommend AVON. You have contacts with work who will readily become your customers. You don't have to do parties. AVON sells itself, and there is room for advancement and hefty commissions. They also offer distributors a website.

The other companies, while also excellent, revolve around parties and sporadic sales. Your AVON customers will purchase every two weeks from you.

If you are great with computers, maybe starting your own website is also an option for you.

Reply:You can join YTB (Your Travel Biz). It's an internet-based travel agency. My mother-in -law started doing it a couple of month's ago, and she's already making a nice lil chunk of change. One of her co-workers has been doin it for a few months longer than she has and he already quit his job at delta airlines. He'd been at Delta for over 20 years. You'd be selling airline tickets, rental cars, hotels, and concert tickets at a discount rates, and if you recruit other Agents, you can make 10 percent of whatever they book.

Reply:Hello, I understand, I started my Mary Kay business while working full time and I had a 2 year old. I found Mary Kay easy to fit into my day. 5 months later I got pregnant with my youngest and I was able I was able to quit my fulltime job to stay home. I held appointments while she napped that is one of the great things about Mary Kay it can be molded to fit your life. I have changed the way I run my business several times into he last few years as life changed for me and my family so did my MK goals. I love what I do it is so much more then selling make up it is helping women feel good about themselves. I think it is important to love the product you sell plus a consumable one makes a big difference in reorder business :)

Reply:Hello! If you've never thought about Tupperware, I highly recommend it. My son's godmother is a Director for the company full time and makes really good money doing it. She's been with the company for 5 years this coming May, and by the end of the year expects to have acheived a 6 figure income. She works hard at what she does, but she has ladies at all different commitment levels under her. Some of them work primarily setting up fundraisers, some do on-line sales, others focus on book parties - from the people I've met, it really seems like everyone gets what they put in.

Good luck!
Reply:The best way that I have found to be free during the day to take care of kids, is a company called Pure Romance. We are an in home party plan that caters to women. I get to make a full time income on just 6 hours a week (3 hours away from home, 1 night per week), but you can work more or less depending on your needs.

I have been with Pure Romance for 2 years now %26amp; I love my job! I get paid to party! You get to laugh and tell stories. And when you do spend time away from your children it is quality adult time. Best of all, you make up to $200 an hour! Can't beat that.

I'd love to chat with you about if Pure Romance could work in your life. I have helped lots of women achieve their career goals with this company. Please visit my website for more information, including my phone number if you want to call me with questions.
