What is a good home- or web-based business for me?

I am 35 years old, unmarried, and a high school physics teacher.


I have up to $155,000 to invest.


I like working with computers.


I can program online database applications, but have no artistic or graphic design talents.


I like electronic gadgets and scientific equipment.


It would be nice if my business would somehow make the world a better place.


I would like my business to be like a hobby, but not something that sucks up all of my free time.


Ideally, I would like my business to generate at least $2000/month in profit.

What is a good home- or web-based business for me?
Hello! I am a high school math teacher and I started a home based business about a year ago. I had a few of the same requests. I wanted my business to be something where I help people. I only have to work an hour or two a day. I choose how much I want to make per month, right now only about $1000 per month, but since it is the summer, I plan on increasing that. Reply:If you are looking for an "eco-friendly" opportunity, there are many home businesses that offer products/services in the health and wellness area that don't require such a hefty investment -- the key is to choose something that interests YOU and will have a decent target market. Many referral/network marketing companies offer the potential to build a residual income over time. Based on your experience, you may also be able to find some freelance work occasionally in programming.
