How to open a business?

I was thinking of opening up my own business to work from home like a travel agency or something. Does anyone know how to do this and can help? it seems that the information I am getting online is scattered.

Starting a home based business can be wonderful! But you want to do your homework on them first! You need to research the types of business you want to do. Whatever you choose......it should be something you can have a passion for....be motivated about....and dedicated to being successful!





I know when I was looking for a home based business, I wanted, of course, something I would enjoy doing, but I wanted to be excited about what I was doing. I wanted a great support system. I wanted to know that I had someone that I could rely on to help me through the early development of my business. Networking with others is a must in my book! I have been very fortunate to have found just what I was looking for. (We are always interested in passionate, motivated and dedicated people!)

Reply:First of all decide what you do want to do exactly, your interest, dreams, passions etc. Then write an outline of a business plan (you will need this for the bank if applying for a loan) of what it is you want to do. You can go to the small business association in your area if you need help. It is free. (www.sba.com) They can help you with questions concerning money, licensing, marketing etc. When you finally decide what it is you want to do, name it and get your license (go to the department of Revenue online or locally ) costs will very from state to state. $35.-$150. for the licenses. Some states require city licenses as well as state. The Department of Revenue will explain all that to you (online or in person) Once you have the plan, the license, and the money you need to start you are in business! Good Luck!
