Question about opening Real Estate business or franchise RE/MAX?

I just got some ideas running through my head and I am not too familiar with how the real estate business works.





If I franchise RE/MAX in this area and there are other RE/MAX's I would assume we would be in competition but how would their online customers be pointed to one of the RE/MAX's here? Who is to get the customer?





Also I just want to get this straight...how would you buy property if I owned a RE/MAX? With my own capital? So I would have to buy my own houses and plots of land and sell them? I am confused with this whole notion.





Also do you think it would just be a better idea to start my own?

First: take a basic course in real estate. Contact board in your state. Often courses are offered on line.


Then you will learn that a real estate company/franchise, office must employ or have as an owner, a licensed real estate broker.


Only after that can you apply for a franchise.
