Viral marketing, my man, viral marketing. Ya need something that is attention grabbing that can lead a prospective investor, etc. to your product if what you need is someone who believes in you or your product and is willing to invest in your venture. For example, if you play punk rock surf music (if such a genre exists), then you could design something (a logo?) that is appropriate to that genre of music and go to Kinkos or Speedy Print and have a couple hundred of the designs printed with a web address onto 2x2 or 3x3 inch magnet sheets (the kind that you see on tradesmens' trucks) and slap them anywhere and everywhere that you want to reach your target demographic. Use You Tube to showcase your talent, preferably in a live house setting to show the investor that you actually have a fan base.
Reply:You should give away a couple songs for free on your website. This allows people to listen to your stuff and throw it on their ipod or whatnot if they want to. Maybe, if you gain support you'll be able to set up getting your stuff on itunes or the like.

Also, I always liked getting demos from bands and dj's. If it's good I always remember and go see them when I can.
